Cloud/SecDevOps Engineer

Description

Leidos develops and sustains large data and technology infrastructures and integrates complex law enforcement IT systems for U.S. federal agencies. This role serves a federal law enforcement agency in Clarksburg, WV.

Primary Responsibilities

• Monitor operational and development systems; investigate and resolve user issues related to integration of security architecture and engineering efforts into the IT lifecycle in an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) cloud‑based environment.
• Leverage knowledge of deployed IaC to ensure that integrated security concepts, controls, and mechanisms are deployed during design and architecture phases to produce a reliably secure product.
• Assist with patching of systems, engineering, implementation, integration, maintenance and improvement of systems.
• Perform technical Agile work tracking and planning, technical design, development, integration, verification and validation.
• Monitor multiple physical and cloud‑based sites; support users and administer IaC security, configuring components and software using IaC utilities.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Systems Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent experience; cybersecurity and IaC certifications may be considered.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently to develop creative solutions.
• Ability to work well and productively within a small team environment, both in‑person and remote telework.
• Self‑starter.
• Strong communication skills.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• DOD Top Secret Clearance required.

Preferred Experience

• Infrastructure management: setting up and maintaining servers and cloud systems.
• Immutable Infrastructure & AMI Design: expertise in designing AMIs using automated tools such as HashiCorp Packer, including Citrix Virtual Delivery Agent (VDA) installation and optimization.
• Process automation: creating and maintaining automated testing, deployment, and security processes.
• Automated image pipelines: integrating image builds into a CI/CD lifecycle (e.g., GitLab CI) to ensure AMIs are patched, hardened, and updated automatically.
• Configuration management (Ansible): developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks and roles to automate configuration of secure, STIG‑compliant operating systems.
• Virtualization & remote display: understanding Citrix infrastructure components and troubleshooting VDA registration, session latency, and display protocol issues (ICA/HDX) on cloud‑hosted instances.
• Collaboration with development, operations, and other teams to ensure effective communication.
• Troubleshooting: identifying and fixing production issues and monitoring system performance.
• Product updates: launching product updates and creating integrations to improve the user experience.
• Cybersecurity: incorporating best practices into processes.

Pay Range

$69,550.00 – $125,725.00
