Commercial Contract Manager

Salary: €70,000–€80,000 fixed + up to €5,000 annual performance-related bonus

I'm currently supporting a leading renewable energy company in the search for a Commercial Contract Manager to join its Commercial Management team in Hamburg.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in commercial contract management within the renewable energy sector who enjoys working across legal, procurement, finance and operations to support a portfolio of operational renewable energy assets.

The Role

As part of the Commercial Management team, you'll be responsible for managing commercial contracts, identifying and mitigating contractual risks, supporting supplier relationships and ensuring contractual compliance across an operational renewable energy portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial contracts and maintain the contract register.
• Interpret contractual terms and ensure compliance across day-to-day operations.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and contractual obligations.
• Manage contracts with maintenance contractors and key suppliers.
• Support budgeting, cost control and accounts payable activities.
• Coordinate commercial matters with procurement, finance and legal teams.
• Manage contractual claims and insurance matters.
• Support SAP purchase order workflows and commercial administration.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

About you

We're looking for someone who has:

• At least 2 years' experience in commercial or contract management.
• Experience within the renewable energy sector (wind industry experience is highly desirable).
• Native-level German and fluent English.
• Excellent contract interpretation and stakeholder management skills.
• A commercial mindset with strong attention to detail.
• SAP experience would be advantageous.
• A legal or contractual background would be beneficial but isn't essential.
