Commercial Manager - Berlin - Data Centre

In this role you will assume overall responsibility for the commercial performance of a major new-build data centre project in Berlin. You will shape the commercial strategy, manage contracts and procurement, and maintain strict cost control across all project phases. You will collaborate with project leaders, clients, and delivery teams to drive profitability and risk mitigation. • Lead all commercial and contractual aspects of the new-build data centre project
• Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximise profitability and mitigate risk
• Review and negotiate main contract and subcontract terms and conditions
• Oversee procurement activities and management of subcontractor/supplier relationships
• Monitor and control project budgets, cash flow, and financial performance
• Lead preparation and negotiation of interim and final accounts
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, policies, and governance procedures
• Provide commercial reporting and forecasting to senior management and client
• Support and mentor project quantity surveyors and junior commercial team members
• Liaise with clients, consultants, design and delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline (or equivalent industry experience)
• 8–10 years’ experience in a commercial/quantity surveying role on large-scale projects
• Proven experience leading the commercial function on complex, data centre or high-tech projects
• Excellent knowledge of procurement, contract law, and cost management principles
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent in English; German is advantageous
• Must be based in Germany or have right-to-work status
