Job Description

We are currently supporting a leading international contractor in the appointment of experienced Commissioning Managers for major hyperscale data centre projects in Frankfurt.

This position will play a key role in the successful delivery of commissioning activities across large-scale mission-critical projects. The successful candidate will oversee commissioning delivery, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, manage commissioning programmes, and support integrated systems testing through to final handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Commissioning Engineers across the project
• Manage commissioning strategy, sequencing, milestones, and programme delivery
• Coordinate commissioning activities with subcontractors, vendors, client teams, and project stakeholders
• Oversee commissioning documentation including test scripts, method statements, procedures, and turnover documentation
• Support FATs, FWTs, integrated systems testing, and final handover activities
• Monitor commissioning progress, reporting, and risk management
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, QA/QC standards, and EHS requirements
• Attend and lead commissioning meetings across internal and client-facing teams

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
• Alternatively, strong senior commissioning leadership experience within mission critical environments
• Mechanical or Electrical bias accepted with strong understanding across both disciplines
• Previous experience delivering commissioning on hyperscale data centre, mission critical, pharmaceutical, or high-tech industrial projects
• Strong understanding of M&E commissioning processes, systems integration, and project sequencing
• Experience managing commissioning vendors, subcontractors, and specialist suppliers
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills
• Ability to work within fast-paced project environments
