About the Project

For our client, we are looking for an experienced Senior Commissioning Engineer / Commissioning Manager to support the execution and commissioning of utility-scale solar power plants across Europe.

The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing commissioning activities, ensuring quality, safety, compliance, and a smooth transition from construction to operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support commissioning activities across multiple solar PV project sites.
• Ensure compliance with project schedules, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize commissioning plans, procedures, and test protocols.
• Conduct technical reviews and evaluate commissioning readiness.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive commissioning documentation and reports.
• Support the transition from construction to Operations & Maintenance (O&M).
• Provide technical expertise during project execution and future development phases.
• Support contract negotiations and tender activities from a technical perspective.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders and act as a trusted technical advisor.
• Manage the commissioning process from preparation through final handover.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Commissioning Engineer , Lead Commissioning Engineer , or Commissioning Manager .
• Strong experience in utility-scale Solar PV , renewable energy, or power generation projects.
• Expertise in commissioning, testing, and system verification.
• Experience with grid connection, electrical systems, substations, MV/HV equipment, and SCADA systems is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of commissioning documentation, testing procedures, and handover processes.
• Familiarity with quality assurance, HSE standards, and project execution methodologies.
• Ability to work independently in an international project environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English required; German is an advantage.
