Commissioning Senior Manager

In this role you drive planning and execution of commissioning for large-scale data centers, ensuring readiness for sales and smooth handover to operations. You’ll work with cross-functional teams across operations and construction to align schedules, budgets, and testing, shaping the delivery of critical infrastructure. You’ll manage internal and external stakeholders, report progress, and implement process improvements that accelerate time-to-value for customers. This is a hands-on leadership position at the core of Equinix’s mission to enable resilient digital infrastructure at scale.

• Create and implement multi-facility commissioning plans and schedules
• Coordinate with operations and construction managers on commissioning activities
• Manage regional pipeline for resource planning
• Collaborate with contractors and internal teams on execution of commissioning
• Maintain logs, checklists, and tools for project tracking
• Input into project budgets for commissioning activities
• Develop Functional Performance Test and Factory Acceptance Test procedures
• Prepare and present customer-facing reports and progress updates
• Serve as point of contact for customer escalations during commissioning
• Follow and improve commissioning processes; escalate improvements to senior management
• Develop standardized schedules and scopes based on contract requirements
• Lead internal and external progress reporting during commissioning
• Produce commissioning test procedures and comprehensive reports
• Aggregate historical data on equipment startup/testing challenges for vendors
• Contribute to data analytics/metrics reporting
• Coordinate quarterly vendor reviews and commissioning-related RFPs
• Oversee external resources and conduct lessons learned on vendor performance
• Schedule and lead periodic commissioning meetings
• Determine vendor KPIs and capture lessons learned
• Liaise with Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) equipment vendors

• proven years of data center commissioning experience
• proven leadership experience in a mission-critical environment
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering preferred
