Commodity Manager (f/m/d)
to further drive the global sourcing strategy for Accessory Solutions, lead strategic negotiations, continuously develop the supplier landscape, and together with international stakeholders ensure cost efficiency, quality, and supply resilience with a high degree of autonomy and strong cross‑functional collaboration.
Your tasks and responsibilities
- Own the global commodity strategy for Accessory Solutions.
- Coordinate and consolidate demand across regions to leverage economies of scale, optimize total cost of ownership, and ensure supply security.
- Lead and conduct strategic negotiations on prices, contracts, and framework agreements across countries and business lines.
- Drive early supplier involvement and work with the team on technical and commercial decisions, ensuring a sustainable supplier strategy.
- Contribute to performance, risk, innovation, and sustainability initiatives and actively support cost and portfolio optimization programs.
- Support implementation of procurement processes and best practices.
Your qualifications and experience
- Completed Master’s or Diploma degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable field.
- Several years of professional experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or commodity management within a matrix organization.
- Experience in strategic negotiations, contract and supplier management, and a basic understanding of end‑to‑end procurement processes.
- Proficiency with SAP and MS Office applications.
- Background with additional relevant professional experience if holding a Bachelor’s degree or vocational training.
- Basic knowledge or interest in AI and automation solutions is a plus.
Your attributes and skills
- Very good English skills; German skills are a plus, additional languages welcome.
- Willingness to travel approximately 15% nationally and internationally, well planned in advance.
- Strong analytical, independent, and structured approach to strategic procurement and value‑creation topics.
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working in international, cross‑functional teams.
- Basic knowledge of markets, cost, and risk analysis and interest in emerging technological trends.
- Enthusiastic learner who enjoys continuous professional and personal development.
