About the Organisation

A high-growth European organisation at the intersection of healthcare and technology is seeking an Associate Director, Consolidation and Reporting. The business operates a high-volume, multi-market consumer platform in which the quality, integrity and timeliness of group reporting are material to financial control, external disclosure and internal decision-making.

The finance organisation is being strengthened to match the scale and complexity of the platform. This appointment sits within that build-out. The role combines technical accounting leadership with operational ownership of the close, and extends beyond classical consolidation into inventory accounting and non-financial reporting.

The Opportunity

As Associate Director, Consolidation and Reporting, you will assume senior ownership of three connected pillars: group financial reporting, inventory accounting, and non-financial reporting under CSRD / ESRS. You will lead a team of approximately five, run the group close with discipline, and serve as the principal point of contact on consolidation, accounting and reporting matters.

The role is both technical and operational. It requires IFRS command, control over a multi-entity close, and the ability to produce reporting that can withstand audit and external scrutiny. It also requires the judgement to work across Finance, Operations and other functions on inventory accounting and on the emerging non-financial reporting agenda.

Visibility is high. The successful candidate will be assessed on the quality of the close, the integrity of group reporting, and the ability to professionalise a function that sits at the centre of a digitally enabled healthcare platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual group close, ensuring accuracy, completeness, IFRS compliance and a controlled reduction of close risk as the organisation scales.
• Own the preparation of consolidated financial statements and the group annual report, to a standard suitable for audit and external publication.
• Lead inventory accounting processes, ensuring timely and accurate results through structured collaboration with Finance and operational counterparties.
• Oversee non-financial reporting in line with CSRD / ESRS requirements, building a robust working model rather than a purely compliance-driven exercise.
• Serve as a senior point of contact for consolidation, accounting and reporting issues, including support of the group audit.
• Provide technical guidance on IFRS questions, reporting judgements and the quality of underlying accounting data.
• Lead and develop a team of approximately five accounting professionals, building capability, accountability and a high standard of work product.
• Strengthen process, documentation and control around the close, inventory accounting and reporting cycle, including the disciplined use of ERP and reporting tools.
• Work across functions with the composure required in a fast-moving, multi-entity environment.

Candidate Profile

• Substantial experience in financial reporting and consolidation, ideally with an audit background and exposure to international or multi-entity environments.
• Strong command of IFRS. Familiarity with ESRS / CSRD is a distinct advantage.
• A recognised professional qualification is preferred, in particular German WP or an equivalent CPA / chartered accountancy designation.
• Experience with inventory accounting, or a demonstrated ability to engage rigorously with operationally complex accounting topics.
• First leadership experience, combined with a precise, hands‑on working style and comfort remaining close to the detail of the close.
• The ability to work across departments and to engage senior stakeholders with clarity and discretion.
• Fluency in English is required. German is a distinct advantage.

The role combines group reporting, inventory accounting and the build-out of non-financial reporting inside a scaled, technology-enabled healthcare platform.
