Construction Manager (Data Centers)

Our client is a leading international data centre owner and operator, delivering and operating mission-critical facilities across Europe and Asia-Pacific.

They are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of complex capital projects, including new builds, expansions and infrastructure upgrades, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.

The Role

As Construction Manager, you will take ownership of site-based construction activities, coordinating contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

You'll work closely with engineering, operations and project teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure while maintaining strong governance, health & safety, quality and commercial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

• Lead site-based construction activities across complex capital projects.
• Deliver projects safely, on programme and within budget.
• Manage contractor mobilisation and site execution.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure quality standards are achieved throughout delivery.

Technical Delivery

• Coordinate construction activities with Mechanical & Electrical systems.
• Support commissioning, testing and integrated systems handover.
• Ensure construction activities align with operational requirements.

Governance & Reporting

• Produce regular progress reports, dashboards and risk registers.
• Report project status, KPIs and budget performance to senior stakeholders.
• Support project governance and approval processes.

Compliance

• Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards and company procedures.
• Monitor contractor performance and quality.
• Support audits, inspections and certification activities.

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with project teams, consultants, contractors and operational stakeholders.
• Support customer-facing discussions where required.
• Build collaborative relationships across all project teams.

Project Close-Out

• Manage project completion and operational handover.
• Ensure all documentation is completed.
• Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement.

What They're Looking For

• 5+ years' experience delivering data centre construction projects.
• Experience working on large-scale mission-critical projects.
• Strong understanding of Mechanical & Electrical building services.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary construction teams.
• Strong knowledge of commissioning and project handover.
• Experience delivering projects within strict programme and budget constraints.
