Construction Quality Manager

As the on-site quality lead for Microsoft’s EMEA Data Centre Delivery, you safeguard quality across large-scale data centre projects. You will partner with contractors, engineers, and operations to embed QA/QC throughout the build and handover. You address quality risks early, drive corrective actions, and ensure delivery meets Microsoft standards and regulatory requirements. This role offers visibility from fieldwork to executive governance and meaningful impact on mission-critical infrastructure. You will shape quality outcomes in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

• Act as on-site quality lead, overseeing contractor quality across the project lifecycle
• Verify construction work aligns with contracts, Microsoft standards, designs, specs, and regulations
• Identify and drive resolution of quality risks, NCRs, root causes, and CAPAs
• Assure QA/QC across CSA, MEP, and equipment installation scopes, including inspections and documentation
• Collaborate with project, commissioning, and operations teams for turnover readiness and handover
• Utilize quality metrics and field observations to identify risks and drive continuous improvement
• Build relationships with contractors, engineers, safety and commissioning teams, and stakeholders

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quality Management, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Significant experience leading construction quality management, QA/QC programmes, inspection governance, and defect/non-conformance management on large-scale projects
• Proven ability to influence contractors and manage quality across multiple stakeholders in field and governance contexts
• Experience delivering quality programmes on complex, mission-critical infrastructure or data centre projects
