Entry Level Consultant (m/f/d)
As an entry level Consultant, you will support leading port and terminal operators worldwide in making high-impact commercial decisions – from market strategy to major infrastructure investments. You will be part of our Commercial Excellence Team and work closely with Sales, Operations, Data Science and Digitalisation.
What you can expect
- Conduct market analyses and develop traffic forecasts
- Build financial models and develop business cases and cost‑benefit analyses
- Analyse port competition and benchmark performance against peers
- Support transaction advisory projects (due diligence, PPP, M&A)
- Contribute to feasibility studies, master plans, and business plans
- Work on cross‑functional projects bridging Commercial, Operations, and Digitalisation
What you bring to the table
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field
- First experience in the port and terminal industry
- Strong commercial mindset and entrepreneurial/analytical thinking
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members and a good understanding of clients’ perspectives
- Ideally knowledge in related fields such as data science, digitalisation, port operations or civil engineering
- Fluency in German and English; additional languages are a plus

Senior Consultant (m/f/d) – Ports & Logistics / Commercial Excellence
As a Senior Consultant, you will take ownership of complex commercial projects, guide clients through critical investment decisions, and actively contribute to the growth of our business. You will operate in a highly international environment and collaborate with experts across operations, data science, and digitalisation.
What you can expect
- Lead commercial workstreams or entire projects from concept to delivery
- Take ownership of transaction advisory mandates (due diligence, PPP, M&A)
- Advise clients and manage senior stakeholder interactions/communication
- Develop and challenge traffic forecasts, financial models, and business cases
- Drive proposal development and business acquisition activities; support proposals and business development
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of the team
- Shape HPC’s commercial portfolio through insights and innovation and help HPC grow
What you bring to the table
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field
- Extensive experience in the port and terminal sector, ideally in consulting, operations, or investment environments
- Proven strong knowledge in market analysis, traffic forecasting, financial planning & analysis, and transactions (PPP, M&A, Due Diligence)
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and drive impact
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with team members, clients and stakeholders
- Fluency in German and English; additional languages are a plus
- Expertise in related fields such as data science, digitalisation, port operations, or civil engineering is a plus
