Woodard & Curran is a national engineering, science and operations firm with a simple vision for clean water, a safe environment, healthy communities and happy people. As an employee‑owned company, we strive to cultivate teams that encourage collaboration in an inclusive culture. We seek talented individuals from all backgrounds to help us address a broad range of water and environmental issues. We prioritize our people, offering opportunities for professional growth, ownership and flexibility. This commitment enables us to make a meaningful impact on our clients, communities and the planet.
Woodard & Curran is seeking an exceptional executive to lead our Consulting Division, an enterprise‑wide role at the intersection of environmental services, professional engineering, technical leadership, and operational excellence. This leader will shape the future of our consulting businesses, strengthen integrated service delivery, and elevate performance across our water, environmental, and remediation practices.
This is a rare opportunity for a visionary, execution‑oriented leader to influence how we deliver technically rigorous, client‑focused solutions while advancing our mission and expanding our impact across the markets and communities we serve.
Office location is flexible and a virtual work arrangement can be accommodated. Travel up to 25%.
As the Consulting Division Leader, you will serve as the architect of a unified, high‑performing environmental consulting organization. You will drive operational integration across diverse consulting disciplines, ensure consistent technical and project delivery excellence, and champion the systems, talent, and frameworks that enable scale, predictability, and innovation.
Partnering closely with executive leadership, you will help translate strategy into execution—guiding long‑range planning, annual business plans, and enterprise initiatives that support sustainable growth, technical leadership, and client success.
This is a highly visible role requiring strategic insight, deep understanding of environmental and engineering consulting, strong project management discipline, and an inspiring leadership presence.
At Woodard & Curran, you’ll join a mission driven, people first firm committed to solving complex environmental and infrastructure challenges. You will lead within an organization that values innovation, empowers its leaders, and invests deeply in its people and clients. Your leadership will directly influence the success of our consulting businesses and strengthen our ability to deliver positive, measurable impact across communities nationwide.
$270,000 - $350,000 a year.
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience and candidate location. This role has the option for remote work, and this position’s anticipated pay range is provided; the final exempt salary will depend on experience level and consider a percentage‑based geographic differential based on where the final candidate will be working. Geographic differentials recognize and reflect the cost of labor differences between geographic markets.
