Control Room Operator - Renewable Energies (all genders)

Overview

DEDS BayWa r.e. Data Services GmbH is expanding its offerings in data acquisition, SCADA services, 24/7 monitoring and data utilization to support safe operations and optimized asset performance. The team operates across wind, solar and battery storage assets globally and collaborates with international colleagues to drive high performance and continuous process improvements in the BayWa r.e. Control Center.

Role

Control Room Operator - Renewable Energies (m/f/d) in Munich. This fixed-term contract for one year may be renewed depending on operational needs. The role requires shift flexibility with an additional allowance for shift work. You will oversee remote monitoring and control of wind, solar and battery plants using our operations management software, handle national and international service calls, address technical issues, and ensure compliance with safety and health standards. You will document plant histories, analyze malfunctions, and contribute to maintaining optimal operational conditions.

What you’ll do

• Remote monitoring and control of wind, solar and battery plants via the operations management software.
• Answer national and international service calls, record issues, and implement appropriate solutions according to work processes.
• Ensure optimal operational conditions, analyze malfunctions, and carry out error statistics.
• Document plant life history in detail and maintain the logbook.
• Collaborate with international colleagues to maintain high operational performance under strict safety standards in the BayWa r.e. Control Center.
• Implement and ensure quality standards, work procedures and improvement processes.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Experience in a Control Centre environment or working with SCADA systems in power generation.
• Knowledge of wind turbine safety rules and safe systems of work.
• Fully IT literate with the ability to work across multiple systems and processes.
• Ability to stay calm and apply logical, structured thinking in high-pressure situations.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to achieve goals and foster a positive environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• Fluency in German and English is required; knowledge of French or Spanish is a strong asset.
