Clean Power Alliance(CPA) isSouthern California’s locally operated not-for-profit default electricity provider for 38 communities within Los Angeles and Ventura counties and the 4thlargest electricity provider in the State of California. CPAseeksa detail-oriented,highlymotivatedand organizedcommunicationsprofessional to join ourfast-pacedteam as Coordinator, Communications and Marketing.Theprimary responsibilities include but are not limitedto gatheringand coordinating contentfrom teams across the organization and external sourcesfor communications and outreachneeds, updatingdatabase listsand calendars,proofreading and updating materials,content generation for presentations andoutreach,coordinating and leadingmeetings,providingcampaignexecution support, and leading the outreach,enrollmentanddataanalysis forthe Green Leader program.
TheCoordinator,Communications and Marketingwill workunder the direct supervision of theSeniorDirector,Communications and Marketingand will work closely withother staff on the Communications and Marketing team. This rolemayalso workdirectly withother teams across the organization includingGovernment Affairs, Customer Programs, Customer Careandcross-functionally with CPA’s Clerk of the Board,Strategic Accounts, and Data and Systems teams,as well as withexternalstakeholders,including contractors and consultants.

Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, and advanced knowledge of Excel.

Communicate effectively, orally, and inwriting;and the ability to translate complex technical information into non-technical language.

Must be able to work at a desk and on a computer for prolonged periods.
Candidates must haveabachelor’s degree
Minimum of2-4yearsrelevantexperiencein communications, administration,orprojectmanagement.
Administrative experience with large teams/departmentspreferred.
Experience in an organization’s communications environment
This position is eligible for either Hybrid or Remote options. The Hybrid option requires attendance in our Downtown Los Angeles officeon a full-time basis2-3days per week on daysdeterminedby CPA, with work location on the remaining days either in office or remote. Thisincludes a transportation allowance.The Remote option requires you to be available to attend full-time inoffice days and/or field events within Los Angeles and Ventura Countiesin accordance withthe needs of the company that may start as early as 8:30am at least 2 days per week.The Remote & Hybrid options require full-time in-person attendance at organization or team-wide events 3 times per year for 3-5 days per event. All staffare required towork during CPA’s office hours Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm PST.
This position is non-exemptand the salary range for this position is$ -$136,114.86with exact compensation to bedeterminedby Clean Power Alliance, dependent on experience. Benefits include health care, a 401(k)-like match program, paid vacation, and sick leave. This is not a civil service position; however,all CPA employeesare required tosubmita Statement of Economic Interests form, also known asthe Form 700.
