Corporate Counsel, EMEA Employment

In this role you will serve as the primary employment-law adviser for Blue Yonder in the EMEA region, partnering with HR and business leaders to manage legal risk and ensure compliant workforce practices. You will handle a broad range of matters, from day-to-day counsel and drafting employment agreements to workforce restructurings and terminations, while balancing business needs with regulatory obligations. You will coordinate with outside counsel across jurisdictions and contribute to cross-functional initiatives in privacy, compliance, and finance. This position offers global exposure, mobility considerations, and the opportunity to shape employment strategy in a fast-paced tech company.

• Provide day-to-day employment-law guidance to HR and business leadership across the EMEA region
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related documents (agreements, notices, restrictive covenants, severance, etc.)
• Advise on employee discipline, performance management, investigations, grievances, and accommodations
• Support workforce restructurings including redundancies and reorganisations
• Counsel on terminations, severance, settlements, and litigation risk mitigation
• Oversee leaves of absence, disability issues, and return-to-work obligations
• Provide advice on compensation, benefits, equity, and pay equity regulatory matters
• Navigate labor relations, works councils/CSE matters where applicable
• Collaborate with Privacy team on data processing, cross-border transfers, and monitoring
• Manage classification of workers and independent contractor issues; assess co-employment risk
• Coordinate with outside counsel for local-law advice and cross-jurisdictional consistency
• Develop and deliver employment-law training for staff and managers
• Monitor and interpret EU and UK GDPR and related data-protection requirements as they apply to employment
• Support M&A activities from an employment-law perspective, including due diligence and TUPE-related planning
• Travel as required, domestic and international
• Partner with other functions on cross-functional employment issues
• Assist with cross-border employment transfers within EMEA

• Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in the United Kingdom, France, or Germany
• 5+ years of employment-law experience in international context
• Experience advising on UK, France, Germany, and Poland employment matters across multiple European jurisdictions
• Working knowledge of GDPR and UK GDPR as they relate to employment
• Proven ability to provide practical legal advice to HR professionals and business leaders
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters concurrently in a global matrix organization
• Excellent English communication skills; ability to engage across geographies
• Preferred: fluency in French or German; experience with technology/ SaaS/ cloud sectors; familiarity with additional EMEA jurisdictions
