Selected is one of Europe’s most followed independent electronic music labels. House, UK garage, afro house and everything in between. 450+ releases, billions of streams, new music every week. We release artists from all over the world and develop artist projects of our own: music, visual identity, storytelling and social presence, all under one roof.

The role

You shape how our artist projects look and feel. Visual identity, artist imagery, cover artwork, Spotify Canvases, social content. You work directly with the founders and turn briefings and moodboards into visual worlds that fit the music. Craft comes first: you build strong visuals by hand and use generative tools where they serve the vision.

The work

• Develop visual identities for new artist projects: imagery, colour, typography, an aesthetic that fits the sound
• Create artist imagery and portraits, hand-crafted through compositing, retouching and digital painting as well as with generative tools, keeping each character consistent across many assets and long timeframes
• Produce cover artwork at label pace, multiple releases per week
• Create Spotify Canvases and short loop visuals
• Build social media assets
• Turn briefings and moodboards into finished visual directions, executed with precision and speed

You

• An exceptional image-maker. Advanced compositing, retouching and colour work. You can build a world-class artist visual entirely by hand.
• At home in the Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere. Deep production experience, used daily.
• Strong at prompting and quick to master new generative AI tools. The landscape moves fast and you move with it, turning raw output into professional, on-brand results.
• Able to keep characters visually consistent across large volumes of generated imagery. A strong plus.
• A sharp eye for consistency in branding, paired with the range to build distinct worlds in very different styles. You understand what makes each style work.
• You think like a label. Our projects range from club sounds to pop and leftfield. A feel for electronic music helps, but is not a must.
• High output at consistent quality. You think in templates, systems and repeatable workflows.
• Confident working from briefings. Over time, you bring ideas of your own that land on point.
• Fluent in English. German is a plus.
