Credit Analyst (Associate Director) - International Public Finance - Frankfurt

As a Credit Analyst in Fitch’s IPF team, you assess credit risk for public entities across EMEA, focusing on sub-national governments and GREs in emerging markets. You will work with a cross-functional group to produce rating analyses, research and rating reports, and contribute to issuer coverage expansion. The role offers exposure to regional public finance trends and interaction with senior management, with a clear path to influence ratings and research. You will operate in a collaborative, AI-enabled environment and engage with rating committees to shape market perceptions.

• conduct in-depth credit analysis of public entities (LRGs and GREs) using financial statements and qualitative data
• monitor a portfolio of credit ratings and present views and rationales at rating committees
• contribute to drafting rating reports and research reports with insights on key credit issues
• interpret developments in public finance, regulatory changes, macro trends and their credit implications
• participate in regular credit review meetings with issuers’ senior management
• support the team with ad-hoc tasks and other research initiatives

• 3–6 years of experience in credit analysis or related field
• professional fluency in Russian and/or Turkish (essential); fluent in English (essential)
• sound academic record with at least a first university degree (finance, economics, or accounting preferred)
• strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial data
• proficiency in Excel and Word
