Credit Analyst

Small businesses move fast and require finance that is flexible and responsive. To support this growth, we need experienced credit analysts who can assess applications swiftly, fairly, and accurately using data and technology.

Responsibilities

• Assess credit applications using multiple data sources and our tech platform to make fast, fair and accurate decisions.
• Take ownership of decisioning and progressively broaden scope as systems knowledge grows.
• Support other analysts on larger and more complex decisions, contributing to the overall workflow.
• Collaborate with analytics teams to optimise lending approaches and adjust personal decisioning methods accordingly.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated curiosity and proficiency in using AI tools to solve problems, increase productivity and improve quality of work, with the ability to articulate the reasoning behind their use.
• Smart, humble, motivated and continually seeking improvement.
• Experience in commercial loan underwriting, credit sanctioning or credit analysis within the SME sector in Germany.
• Strong business acumen and a working understanding of risk and revenue drivers influencing creditworthiness.
• Ability to interpret and analyse financial statements.
• Motivated and enthusiastic attitude suited to a constantly changing, fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills in business English and German.
• Analytical mindset with a practical approach to problem solving, innovating scalable solutions and suggesting process improvements.

Salary

We expect to pay from €55,000 – €70,000, and are open to discussing salary expectations during the application process.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid role – you can split your time between the office and home.
