Cyber-Security Software Engineer for Automated Mobile Machinery (f/m/div.)

In this role you design and implement platform-level security for QNX-based embedded systems in automated mobile machinery. You translate security requirements into robust software, building secure boot chains, image verification, and root-of-trust concepts, while securing in-vehicle networks (CAN/CAN-FD, Ethernet) and supporting secure software updates. You contribute to security testing, debugging, and documentation to strengthen overall system safety and reliability. This role offers hands-on work near hardware, with exposure to autonomous driving and AI technologies.

• Design and implement platform-level security on QNX-based embedded systems
• Develop secure boot chains, image verification, and root-of-trust concepts
• Secure in-vehicle communications (CAN/CAN-FD, Ethernet)
• Apply cryptographic mechanisms and manage keys/certificates
• Implement secure software update mechanisms
• Support security testing, debugging, and issue resolution on target hardware
• Contribute to security-related documentation and technical reviews

• Embedded software development experience (preferably C/C++)
• Strong hands-on experience in embedded or automotive cybersecurity
• Solid understanding of secure boot and hardware root of trust
• Cryptography and key management
• OS-level security concepts (process separation, memory protection)
• Experience with QNX or other POSIX RTOS
• Knowledge of automotive protocols (CAN, CAN-FD, Ethernet)
• Ability to design and implement security mechanisms and debug security issues
• Experience with TI TDA4 SoCs and TI PSDK
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR security concepts
• Experience with secure OTA/update mechanisms
