About the Role
Cyber Systems Developer for the Regional Cyber Center-Europe (RCC‑E) program.
Location
On-site, Wiesbaden, Germany. Potentially 2nd/3rd shift work.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain cyber defense tools, automation scripts, and utilities that enhance CSSP detection, response, and operational efficiency across the RCC‑E environment.
- Automate security workflows and repetitive operational tasks using scripting languages (Python, Bash, Ansible) to reduce analyst workload and improve response times.
- Manage and maintain containerized applications and micro‑services using Podman and Kubernetes, supporting deployment and lifecycle management of CSSP mission tools.
- Administer and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, integration, and deployment of cyber defense software in a secure, classified environment.
- Conduct capacity and performance analysis of CSSP infrastructure components, identifying bottlenecks and recommending improvements to sustain operational SLAs.
- Support CSSP infrastructure operations including configuration management, system hardening, and integration of new tools into the existing cyber defense architecture.
Qualifications
Required
- 5 years of systems development or DevSecOps experience with a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or Business Administration; 11 years of relevant experience may substitute for degree.
- Must meet TESA Qualifications.
- DoD 8140 - IT (System Administrator) - Intermediate.
- Certifications:
- CompTIA Linux+; OR
- Red Hat RHCSA; OR
- Red Hat RHCE; OR
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in Containers and Kubernetes; OR
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate; OR
- GitLab Certified CI/CD Associate; OR
- Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred
- Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for security automation and tool development.
- Experience with Ansible or SaltStack for configuration management and infrastructure-as-code.
- Hands‑on experience with GitLab CI/CD for pipeline development in classified environments.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Podman for container orchestration and management.
- Strong Linux systems administration skills (RHEL/CentOS) in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps for project management and pipeline integration.
- Experience with SaltStack or Puppet for large‑scale configuration management.
- Understanding of DevSecOps principles and secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC).
Compensation and Benefits
Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. Salary is determined by various factors, including scope and responsibilities, experience, education, skills, geographic location, and contract considerations. Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply.
