Fortinet's Presales Systems Engineer for Enterprise Retail & Media drives technical pre-sales, translating security needs into tailored Fortinet architectures. You collaborate with sales, senior engineers, and partners to craft security solutions and lead customer workshops. You gradually assume more responsibility and evolve into a technical leader role through PoCs, demos, and RfX responses. • Support the sales team in technical pre-sales engagements, demos, RfX responses, and PoC activities
• Identify client needs from a cybersecurity perspective and map to Fortinet solutions
• Design security and network architectures tailored to customer requirements
• Progressively own technical areas or solutions and expand scope over time
• Collaborate with senior Systems Engineers, CSEs, Solution Architects, and partners on complex opportunities
• Lead customer workshops, technical presentations, and enablement activities
• Continuously expand knowledge of Fortinet technologies, integrations, and industry trends

• 3–5+ years in Cyber Security or Network Security (firewalling, SOC, SecOps, cloud security, network engineering)
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, routing, switching, SDN) and security concepts (NGFW, IDS/IPS, encryption)
• Interest in customer-facing, pre-sales, or consulting-oriented roles
• Strong communication skills and willingness to develop presentation/workshop capabilities
• Self-motivated, responsible, and able to handle customer projects in a dynamic sales-driven environment
• Fluency in German and English with confidence presenting in both languages
