Data analyst in rail operations

FlixTrain aims to make train travel in Germany better, more environmentally friendly and more accessible. We are growing rapidly, as is our ambition to make every decision data-driven. That is why we are building something new: a central, in-house Data Analytics team at FlixTrain. You will be among the first members of this team, which means real responsibility, real influence and the opportunity to shape our work with data from day one.

Задачи

Together with our business departments, you develop end-to-end analytics solutions with Power BI, Snowflake, Python and Git, thereby laying the foundation for data-driven decisions. As the point of contact for the Operations data area, you translate complex questions into meaningful analyses, dashboards and recommendations for action, and support other areas of the company during the team’s setup phase. You continuously develop and automate data pipelines and reporting processes and integrate external data sources into our data warehouse. In close collaboration with our Data and Engineering teams, you are responsible for the entire lifecycle of your analytics solutions—from data modeling, testing and visualization through to production operations. By maintaining high quality standards, clear documentation and reliable KPI models, you ensure that our data products can be used as a “Single Source of Truth”.

Требования

Successfully completed degree in business information systems, computer science, data science, mathematics or statistics, or a comparable qualification. At least two years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Analytics Engineer or in a comparable analytical role. Very good knowledge of SQL, Python and Git, as well as experience creating dashboards and reports with Power BI. You have analytical thinking, a good understanding of business contexts, and a structured and independent way of working. Very good German and English skills (at least C1 level) and enjoy collaborating with different stakeholders.
