Data Center Technician (L2) – Liquid Cooling & Operations

We are currently looking for a Data Center Technician (L2) with experience in data center operations and exposure to liquid cooling environments to support a mission-critical, high-availability setup . Fluency in German and English is required for this role.

This role focuses on shift ownership, incident management, and hands‑on support of infrastructure and cooling systems , ensuring stable operations, SLA adherence, and compliance with security and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage shift-level operations , ensuring 24x7 service availability and SLA/KPI adherence
• Act as the primary escalation point for incidents (P1/P2/P3) and ensure timely response and resolution
• Monitor and support liquid cooling systems (CDUs, piping loops, pumps, and rack-level cooling units)
• Perform routine checks , including coolant quality, pressure validation, and leak detection
• Respond to cooling-related alerts (temperature, flow, pressure deviations) and coordinate resolution with service providers
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential leakage risks or system degradation
• Support incident containment and recovery procedures in case of system failures or leak events
• Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, and internal teams during maintenance, upgrades, and system changes
• Monitor cooling performance to ensure thermal stability of high-density racks
• Maintain accurate operational logs, incident records, and maintenance documentation
• Participate in emergency drills and operational readiness activities
• Support shift handovers and ensure clear communication across teams

Required Skills & Experience

• Several years of experience in data center operations or infrastructure support
• Hands‑on experience in monitoring and handling data center environments in a 24x7 setup
• Exposure to cooling systems (liquid cooling or chilled water systems)
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure (servers, storage, networking fundamentals)
• Experience in incident handling and escalation support
• Fluent German and English

Nice to Have

• Background in mechanical, HVAC, or thermal engineering
• Experience in liquid cooling maintenance and operations (CDUs, fluid systems, leak detection)
• Exposure to high-density or AI-driven data center environments
• Knowledge of safety procedures and fluid handling protocols
