Data Center Technician (L2) – Operations & Infrastructure

We are seeking a Data Center Technician (L2) with strong experience in data center operations and infrastructure support to support a mission‑critical, high‑availability environment .

This role focuses on shift ownership, incident management, and advanced technical execution . You will act as the key escalation point, ensuring stable operations, SLA adherence, and smooth coordination across teams and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage shift operations, ensuring 24x7 service availability and SLA/KPI compliance
• Act as the primary escalation point for incidents (P1–P3) and drive resolution
• Perform advanced troubleshooting across server, storage, and network environments
• Execute and oversee complex IMAC/R/D activities (rack & stack, cabling, deployments)
• Validate installations against power, space, and cooling requirements
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major incidents
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for issue resolution and maintenance
• Ensure compliance with security standards (e.g., access control, 4‑eyes principle)
• Support audit and compliance activities (documentation, inspections, controls)
• Maintain accurate CMDB and asset records
• Ensure proper shift handovers and operational reporting
• Support and guide L1 technicians in day‑to‑day operations
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–7 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support
• Strong hands‑on experience with servers, storage, and networking environments
• Advanced troubleshooting and incident management skills (P1–P3)
• Experience with IMAC activities and structured cabling (fiber & copper)
• Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and ITIL‑based processes
• Fluent English and German

Nice to Have

• Experience with DCIM or monitoring tools
• Exposure to capacity management (power, space, cooling)
• Experience working in banking or regulated environments
