Data Discovery and Enrichment Expert – SEP Intelligence Lead

In this role you will lead complex data discovery and enrichment initiatives to expand SEP content and guide AI-enabled capabilities across IPlytics and Protégé. You’ll set quality standards, govern evaluation methods, and act as the quality authority throughout product development. You will work with cross-functional teams to align practices with FRAND and SEP contexts, driving measurable improvements in landscape construction and content enrichment. • Lead data discovery and enrichment projects for SEP and standards-related content
• Define and maintain quality evaluation standards for SEP question classes (essentiality, royalty range, FRAND exposure, SEP portfolio intelligence)
• Author acceptance criteria for new AI capabilities and participate in sprint planning as quality authority
• Build and maintain curated evaluation question sets for automated testing and release governance
• Calibrate automated evaluation systems with expert judgment and traceable overrides
• Hold release gate authority for SEP question classes to protect quality in production
• Define and maintain SEP landscape construction methodology and deliver bespoke landscape engagements
• Lead quarterly FRAND practitioner sessions to align evaluation criteria with industry expectations
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Data Science as quality authority across the lifecycle

• Recognized expertise in Data Discovery and Enrichment with experience leading taxonomy, classification, or content enrichment projects
• Direct practitioner experience in FRAND licensing/negotiation, technical SEP essentiality analysis, or SEP portfolio management
• Working knowledge of major standards bodies and their patent ecosystems (3GPP/ETSI, IEEE, MPEG/AOM, JEDEC, ITU)
• Experience analyzing patent portfolios at scale
• Ability to articulate technical quality judgments in written governance documentation
• Comfortable working across engineering, product, and legal functions without formal authority
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, law, or related field; or equivalent experience
