Data Integration Specialist

Old Dominion University is hiring a Data Integration Specialist. The role involves acting as the crucial link between the CRM team, enterprise integration staff, and campus stakeholders to establish a comprehensive student data view within Salesforce Education Cloud, leading requirements gathering, documentation, and debugging of data pipelines connecting systems such as Banner, Common App, and Axiom Elite.

Highlights

• Lead data integration efforts to ensure seamless data flow within Salesforce Education Cloud related to student information.
• Manage, troubleshoot, and optimize ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and document data mappings.
• Work collaboratively with technical and non-technical staff across university departments.
• Expertise in Salesforce architecture, API architectures (REST, SOAP), SQL, and data transformation protocols.
• Provide end-user support including ticket handling, training, and documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field with relevant experience; Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Preferred certifications include Salesforce Administrator; experience with Data 360, Snowflake, AWS S3, and integration platforms like Informatica, Axiom Elite is a plus.
• Full-time remote position with hiring range $105,000-$115,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
• Position requires a criminal background check and effective communication skills across organizational levels.
