Data Science Consultant

In this role you drive data-driven value for customers by analyzing data, shaping solutions, and guiding software configuration to maximize impact. You’ll collaborate with regional and global teams to translate data into actionable insights, demonstrate value through data storytelling, and support success metrics. You’ll extend models, run simulations, and contribute to proofs-of-concept while staying current with data science trends.

• Perform data analysis to identify patterns and anomalies and translate results into actionable insights for improving data quality
• Collaborate with regional/global support teams to assist customers using Pricing and future Cognitive solutions
• Extract and present data stories from customer data to illustrate solution value and guide customer priorities
• Guide customers in defining success metrics and align analyses with project goals
• Translate domain issues and customer requirements into model enhancements and tuning with the Blue Yonder team
• Adhere to ITIL standards for support case management, meeting SLAs and case quality
• Extend, configure and train models to support project objectives, and run simulations and what-if analyses
• Provide analytical support for proofs-of-concept and identify opportunities to create customer value
• Keep up with industry trends and continuously improve the team’s tools and methodologies
• Travel to customer and team locations up to ~10%

• German language - fluent
• English language - business fluent
• Graduate degree in Operations Research, Statistics, or related quantitative field
• Ability to elicit customer knowledge about business objectives and policies
• Ability to translate complex data into business insights and opportunities
• Ability to communicate analytic insights to non-experts using data storytelling
• Familiarity with retail, pricing, and supply chain processes (preferred)
• Experience with Python for data analytics and ML applications
• Ability to create dashboards, visualizations, and reports
• Ability to work with and select relevant subsets of large data sets
• PhD is a plus
