We're currently looking for an experienced Defect Management Engineer to support the commissioning phase of a major industrial project in Lower Saxony, Germany .

This opportunity is ideal for engineers with experience in plant engineering, industrial construction, commissioning, quality management, or mechanical completion who enjoy solving technical challenges, coordinating stakeholders, and working in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Location: Lower Saxony, Germany (Primarily on-site)

Remote: Up to 40% possible

Your Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the defect management process for critical industrial plant components
• Maintain and monitor defect (punch) lists
• Perform quality inspections during construction and commissioning
• Identify, document, and track technical issues through to resolution
• Coordinate corrective actions with contractors, suppliers, and project teams
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation
• Monitor progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Process Engineering
• At least 2 years' experience in industrial plant engineering or large industrial projects
• Experience in one or more of the following:
  • Construction
  • Quality Management
  • Mechanical Completion
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and international teams
• High safety awareness
• German (C1/C2)
• Willingness to work primarily on-site
