Overview

In this role you lead the development and scale of Marsh Risk’s Defense Industry Practice in Europe, shaping strategic market position and client impact. You’ll translate market and risk trends into actionable guidance, build senior client relationships, and drive growth across Europe. You will craft high-impact thought leadership and manage complex engagements, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver innovative risk solutions. This is a strategic leadership role with a clear opportunity to build a leading defense-focused practice and influence regional market strategy.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Translate market and risk management trends into actionable client insights
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand trusted client relationships and grow the book of business
  • Develop high-impact presentations and thought leadership for internal and client meetings
  • Lead proposals and pricing for complex projects to deepen relationships and win new business
  • Provide expert advice on project approaches, methodologies, and tools to strengthen risk programs
  • Lead projects and increasingly own complex engagements across Europe
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver on shared objectives across the region
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in defense, national security, government advisory, or risk consulting
  • Deep understanding of the European defense landscape (NATO, defense ministries, armed forces, regulatory environment)
  • Strong expertise in geopolitical risk, cyber risk, resilience, and supply chain disruption
  • Proven success in consulting and business development, including leading proposals and managing senior client relationships
  • Ability to advise senior stakeholders on complex strategic and operational matters
  • Outstanding executive communication and presentation skills at C-suite and government level
  • Leadership experience spanning teams, clients, revenue, or practice growth
  • Ability to unite diverse, cross-functional teams across Europe
  • Languages: German and English fluent; additional languages advantageous
