Deputy MLRO (f/m/d)

In this senior, individual-contributor role you will strengthen Moss's AFC/AML, regulatory compliance, and card-fraud controls as a trusted deputy to the Director of Compliance. You contribute to the second line of defence for Moss GmbH, enabling growth while maintaining safety and trust as Moss scales. You will shape compliance processes, lead investigations, and drive AI-enabled efficiencies across the function. This is an autonomous role with regulatory responsibility and impact on product and operations.

• Contribute to and quality-assure AFC risk analyses and regulatory assessments (AML/CFT, MaRisk)
• Perform second-level controls and spot checks on AFC measures
• Investigate transactions, file SARs, and assess enhanced due diligence
• Own and optimize card-fraud detection, monitoring, and disputes/chargebacks processes
• Develop and improve the compliance management system and procedures (SFO), including EU AML Regulation implementation
• Advise business units on regulatory implications of new products/services (NPP)
• Utilize AI to streamline compliance workflows and build n8n automations and Claude capabilities
• Provide guidance and training to KYC Operations and other teams to raise compliance awareness

• 3+ years hands-on AML/financial crime/compliance experience, preferably in payments/e-money/fintech/banking
• Proven track record in complex cross-stakeholder projects
• Comprehensive knowledge of AMLR, GwG, FATF, EBA Guidelines, etc.
• German and English, C1 level (written and spoken)
