Design for Test Engineer (m/f/d)

As a Design for Test Engineer, you will define and implement robust DfT concepts for analog and mixed-signal ICs in automotive environments. You drive test strategies from concept to production, optimizing coverage, cost and test time while collaborating with design and other engineering teams to ensure testability and safety per ISO 26262. You contribute to rising test quality and efficiency and support functional safety throughout development. • Define and implement robust DfT concepts for analog and mixed-signal ICs in automotive applications
• Lead test strategy development from concept through production
• Optimize test coverage, cost, and test time while ensuring testability and quality
• Collaborate with design, verification, product engineering, and test engineering teams
• Support functional safety concepts in line with ISO 26262
• Analyze production and characterization data to identify yield limitations and drive improvements
• Promote reuse concepts for DfT structures and evaluation flows across projects
• Collaborate to optimize ATE test programs and qualification flows
• Contribute to diagnostic coverage and safety mechanisms as part of functional safety efforts

• Completed studies in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design, preferably in automotive
• Proven experience in Design-for-Test (DfT) for AMS circuits, including production test concepts and fault coverage strategies
• Strong knowledge of analog circuit design (amplifiers, data converters, sensor interfaces, power management blocks)
• Solid understanding of automotive standards and requirements (AEC-Q100, ISO 26262, functional safety concepts)
• Experience with test cost optimization, yield improvement, and quality metrics in high-volume production
• Good knowledge of statistical methods, data analysis, and characterization techniques
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to communicate complex topics across disciplines
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration with design, verification, product engineering, and test engineering teams
• Fluent English skills (written and spoken)
