Design Organisation Manager (d/f/m)

For our long‑standing business partner AIRBUS we are looking for you as a new employee of Tintschl Technik GmbH in Donauwörth (Germany, on site job).

Responsibilities

• Manage approvals as a Design Organisation (DOA): maintain, obtain, and extend certifications, including new privileges/products.
• Act as the main interface with aviation authorities for all DOA‑related matters.
• Support compliance demonstration and manage updates to the organisation’s manuals.
• Ensure the Design Assurance System is maintained, including compliance checklists and adherence to regulations.
• Manage procedures to ensure all DOA processes are approved and accessible.
• Lead negotiations with authorities on process and procedure approvals, especially regarding airworthiness, environmental protection, and operational suitability data (OSD).
• Support supplier management by defining, qualifying, and monitoring DOA suppliers.
• Advise Product Integrity domains as a DOA expert and participate in engineering bids for new programs.
• Support the implementation of a Safety Management System (SMS).
• Represent Airbus Helicopters in rule‑making committees and develop strategies for international DOA activities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Design Engineer and 4 years in project management.
• Strong experience in design development and proficiency with design office tools.
• Fluent English (business level); German is an advantage.
• Experience in an aviation development organisation or aircraft certification is desirable.
• In‑depth knowledge of aviation regulations, especially EASA Part 21J, is preferred.
• Experience in design and/or airworthiness, ideally with direct authority contact.
