Designer CORE Outerwear Apparel

Stellenbeschreibung:

SPEED & SPIRIT is what we look for in our candidates, defined by some simple values that inspire us to BE DRIVEN in our performance, BE VIBRANT in our sporting legacy, BE TOGETHER in our team spirit, and to let our individual talent and experience shine. Applying for a job at PUMA is easy.

YOUR MISSION

  • Design: Own the seasonal Outerwear range for Men's and Women's, concept to line freeze. Translate seasonal Creative Direction into silhouette, proportion and detail. Design within the given architecture so each style reads as part of a line. Hold design integrity through Design reviews and collection presentations
  • Material and construction: Select shells, membranes, insulations and linings against a defined performance and price tier. Work with the materials team on hand feel, weight and drape. Balance protection, weight, packability and cost and know what each trade-off costs the consumer
  • Development: Write tech packs a factory can build from. Keep design data current in the system. Hit every date in the development calendar, across overlapping seasons. Review protos and fit samples. Travel to factories to finalize prototypes. Work with Development and PLM on simplifications that protect margin without flattening the design
  • Market: Track outerwear specifically. Benchmark competitors on construction and price. Know what the consumer expects at each price point
  • Collaboration: Feed the central block library and material platform. Work daily with PLM, Development, Materials and Color & Graphics. Align with other BUs so CORE complements their ranges. Present clearly to design leadership.

YOUR TALENT

  • 3-4 years designing apparel for a sports, outdoor or lifestyle brand, including 2 in outerwear is ideal
  • A portfolio with outerwear taken from concept to production
  • Working knowledge of membranes and insulation and the measures behind them
  • Construction fluency
  • Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop at professional speed
  • Comfort with a fixed calendar and several seasons live at once
  • Degree in apparel, fashion or product design, or an equivalent portfolio
  • Fluent English
