People are what make a company. They all bring different ideas, experiences, and skills to the table. We value and nurture both professional expertise and the individual in all their facets. Because together, we make Ecovis better—better for us and better for our clients. We’re looking for you—full-time or part-time—to join our IT department at our offices in Chemnitz or Munich as a AI Platforms, Data, and Automation Developer (m/f/d) Just use AI? Or build the foundation for it? With us, you’ll play a central role in building our technical AI and automation landscape—secure and scalable. While the Firm and Corporate Development team is responsible for use cases and benefits, you’ll handle technical evaluation, architecture, integration, and stable operations.
Together with the Law Firm and Corporate Development teams, you’ll develop the target technical architecture for AI and automation solutions. You’ll establish standards and decision-making frameworks for large language models, machine learning, and automation platforms—all transparently documented and reusable.
You will compare commercial and open-source models, as well as cloud, on-premises, and hybrid operating models—based on quality, security, data protection, data residency, costs, latency, and vendor lock-in. Using technical proofs of concept, you create robust decision-making templates and define requirements for access, logging, and fault tolerance.
You integrate AI solutions with applications, data sources, document management systems, and identity and access management systems via APIs. Where appropriate, you develop concepts for retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge databases, or document processing—with transparently documented data flows.
You transition pilot projects into regular operations—including monitoring, logging, versioning, and emergency procedures—and establish quality controls for response quality, availability, and costs. Together with IT security, data protection, and compliance teams, you safeguard against risks such as prompt injection, data leakage, or uncontrolled model changes, and prepare documentation for audits—including in light of the EU AI Act.
You’ll take on technical (sub-)project management, translate business requirements into specifications, and assess effort, risks, and dependencies. You’ll coordinate IT teams, service providers, and partners, and build reusable components so that not every solution has to be created from scratch.
You provide clear advice to business units on the possibilities and limitations of technology, create technical guidelines, and support training sessions.
Firm and Business Development is responsible for: use cases and their prioritization, process analysis, expected benefits, implementation, and technical performance measurement. You are responsible for: feasibility and target architecture, model and platform decisions, interfaces, security, quality, and operations. A use case is only implemented once its benefits, feasibility, security, and cost-effectiveness have been jointly evaluated.
