What you can achieve with us

In this position, you will be responsible for the operation and continuous development of an in-house developed Oracle database-based Java application for transportation technology. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, deploying, and documenting new and existing modules, as well as providing support for these applications.

You will independently handle life-cycle management, third-level support, and operations, and will also integrate additional specialized traffic management software from third-party vendors. Your active participation in projects involving new technologies and the implementation of these innovations into LHM’s existing traffic control network round out your responsibilities.

What You Bring to the Table

  • A successfully completed university degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Business Informatics
    or
  • a successfully completed university degree or equivalent skills and experience*
    and
  • extensive (at least 3 years) professional experience in the IT field

*In this case, the assessment of equivalent skills and experience as defined by the TVöD remuneration regulations will be conducted by the City of Munich.

What we value

  • Technical expertise with several years (at least 2 years) of experience in software programming (preferably JAVA (native, Swing)), experience in programming relational database objects (preferably PL/SQL), as well as in-depth technical knowledge in the field of relational databases (preferably Oracle)
  • Results- and goal-oriented approach, particularly analytical thinking, a sense of responsibility, and decisiveness
  • Innovative ability, particularly problem-solving skills
  • The following are advantageous: experience with VB.NET
