DevOps Engineer with a focus on Kubernetes (hybrid working model - Düsseldorf, Germany) (m/f/d)[...]

Responsibilities

• Implement best practices for automation, scalability, and system reliability on high‑traffic web applications hosted on Kubernetes.
• Support maintaining customer infrastructure across Kubernetes upgrades and software supply chain changes.
• Participate in continuous improvement processes, focusing on supporting full‑stack developers managing complex deployments in development environments.
• Adopt and implement DevOps and MLOps best practices; allocate up to 25% of working time for learning and experimentation.

Qualifications

• Expertise with containerization (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with Helm, including writing and maintaining custom Helm charts.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform or comparable).
• Experience running production workloads on Kubernetes.
• Experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with GitOps and continuous delivery tools such as FluxCD.
• Solid understanding of IaC tools (ideally Terraform) and Linux, shell scripting, and/or Python.
• Experience with observability: logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
• Willingness to learn or experience with machine learning pipelines.
• Fluency in English.
• Nice to have: On‑call duty, data engineering, MLOps, AI workload training, Metaflow.
• Nice to have: ArgoCD, Argo workflows.
• Nice to have: SQL databases and Redis.
