Director, Applied AI Transformation - Manufacturing & Industrial (m/f/d) at EPAM Systems

We are seeking a Director, Applied AI Transformation – Manufacturing & Industrial (m/f/d) to lead large-scale AI and agentic transformation programs for global manufacturing and industrial enterprises.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute applied AI and agentic transformation strategies for manufacturing and industrial clients.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on AI adoption and digital transformation initiatives.
• Lead presales efforts including shaping opportunities, building business cases and supporting origination activities.
• Facilitate ideation workshops to translate operational and business challenges into actionable AI use cases.
• Drive enterprise-wide AI adoption by identifying high-value opportunities and leading change management.
• Lead cross-functional delivery teams to design, develop and deploy AI and multi-agent systems at scale.
• Maintain hands‑on expertise with large language models, agent orchestration platforms and AI ecosystems across major labs and hyperscalers.
• Ensure AI solutions meet compliance, scalability and security standards across regulated manufacturing processes.
• Mentor EPAM and client teams to build internal AI capabilities and accelerate adoption.
• Monitor industry trends and represent EPAM as a thought leader in manufacturing and industrial AI transformation.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing and industrial sectors with a proven track record in business transformation or large‑scale technology programs.
• Strong understanding of ERP landscapes, process automation, compliance and operational workflows including supply chain, production and maintenance.
• Proven experience advising C‑suite executives and designing AI adoption strategies for complex organizations.
• Practical experience with applied AI including large language models, RAG frameworks and multi‑agent systems.
• Familiarity with major AI labs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft) and hyperscaler ecosystems (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Ability to shape business cases and convert transformational AI opportunities in presales contexts.
• Leadership experience managing global, cross‑functional teams in regulated environments.
• Excellent client‑facing communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business; MBA preferred.
• Ability to travel as required.
