Director of Data (m/f/d) – Berlin | Hybrid

Our client is an innovative technology company currently investing heavily in its data capabilities and looking to appoint an experienced Director of Data to lead its growing function.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the company's data strategy while remaining close to the technical side of modern data platforms.

Your Responsibilities

• Define and execute the company's data strategy.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary data team.
• Build scalable and reliable data platforms.
• Drive data governance, quality and security initiatives.
• Support AI and advanced analytics projects.
• Partner with Product, Engineering and senior stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance and best practices across the data landscape.

Your Profile

• Several years of experience within Data Engineering, Data Architecture or Analytics.
• Previous leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience with modern data architectures and governance.
• Comfortable working hands-on while providing strategic direction.
• German language skills at C-level and fluent English.
