eCommerce Channel Manager (w/m/d)

The eCommerce Channel Manager is responsible for the commercial success and operational excellence of all relevant eCommerce sales channels. Strong focus is on Amazon vendor, Amazon seller and further brand relevant marketplaces. The company's own D2C and D2B ordering portals will be included once these are in place. The role owns revenue, conversion, profitability, and assortment performance across eCommerce channels and focuses on turning demand into sales.

The eCommerce Channel Manager works closely with Digital Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and Supply Chain while maintaining clear ownership of post-click performance and online sales execution.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

Revenue & Performance Ownership

• Full responsibility for eCommerce revenue, conversion rate, average order value, and profitability
• Development and execution of channel-specific growth strategies
• Planning, implementation, and evaluation of pricing, promotions, bundles, and offers
• Conducting price and terms negotiations in the e-commerce sector
• Ensuring compliance with promotions among e-commerce customers and platform partners

eCommerce Channel Management

• Operational ownership of:
  • Online marketplaces (e.g., Amazon Seller/Vendor)
  • Company-owned online ordering portal and D2C shop
• Ensuring optimal:
  • Product availability
  • Buy Box performance
  • Listing quality and completeness from a sales perspective
  • Meeting profitability expectations

Assortment & Product Performance Management

• Definition of focus assortments, hero products, and online-exclusive bundles
• Steering product launches from an eCommerce performance perspective
• Management of long-tail products and clearance strategies

Conversion Rate & User Experience Optimization

• Ownership of online ordering portal performance
• Continuous optimization of:
  • Product titles, bullets, attributes, imagery sequence
  • Purchase funnels and checkout experience
• Planning and execution of A/B tests to improve conversion

Reporting & Data-Driven Steering

• Creation and maintenance of eCommerce performance dashboards
• Regular reporting on:
  • Revenue, margin, conversion, and sell-through
  • Stock-driven performance
• Translation of data insights into concrete action plans

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Close collaboration with:
  • Digital Marketing (traffic generation & campaigns)
  • Sales (pricing, promotions, commercial alignment)
  • Product Management (launch priorities)
  • Supply Chain & Operations (availability & forecasting)
• Clear definition of handover points between marketing activation and sales execution

Education, knowledge and experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
• Business Administration
• Economics
• eCommerce
• Relevant professional certifications in eCommerce or platform management are a plus

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in eCommerce management
• Proven track record in managing Amazon and further marketplaces
• Online-Web shop management experience is an advantage.
• Experience with performance-oriented environments and revenue responsibility
• Strong exposure to data-driven decision-making in digital commerce
