This position is in the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention, Office of Pesticide Programs, Biological and Economic Analysis Division, Economic Analysis Branch. About: The Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis (location TBD after candidate selected).
You will: Conduct analyses of benefits, costs, and socio-economic impacts of regulatory and non-regulatory actions to inform Office of Pesticide Programs decisions. Guide staff on socio-economic aspects of specific projects including policy analysis in support of pesticide registration, registration review decisions, and rule-making to implement pesticide policy. Lead the development of analytical and quantitative methods including case studies, statistical or data analysis, econometrics, mathematical programming, and simulation modeling needed to conduct or improve policy analyses. Advise division and office management on the concepts and theory of policy analysis and its application to pesticide regulatory actions. One or more positions may be filled (in the organization advertised and/or in other organizations), if appropriate to the position.
