EEO Attorney, FAD Writing

Stellenbeschreibung:

Drafting and preparing final agency decisions (FADs), the main function of the position
Reviewing Reports of Investigation (ROIs) for legal sufficiency
Assisting in processing informal and formal EEO complaints
Processing post-closure compliance and appeal work
Drafting formal and complex legal documents, including accept/dismissal letters, appeal documents, counselor’s reports, and complaint status memorandums
Conducting legal research and editing
Reviewing facts and case law

Requirements

JD required
Must be barred in a US State or Territory
Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a lawyer required
Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in Federal sector civil rights matters and/or processing federal sector EEO complaints required
Must have a minimum of three (3) years writing Final Agency Decision reports at the federal level
Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Public Trust Clearance
Must be a US Citizen
Knowledge of Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
Knowledge of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973
Knowledge of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act
Knowledge of the Equal Pay Act
Knowledge of the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act
Knowledge of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act of 1974
Exceptional writing skills
Adept at legal research and legal editing
Must be able to provide references and a writing sample during interview process
