Electrical & Electronics Engineer

As an Electronics Engineer on the Physical Products team, you design and build the electrical systems that power Helsing platforms. You translate requirements into robust, field-ready electronics through PCB design, architecture definition, and prototype bring-up. You work across hardware, software, and avionics to de-risk designs and validate concepts early. Your work supports Helsing’s mission to equip democratic societies with capable, reliable defence technology. This role offers hands-on hardware challenges in a mission-driven, transparent culture.

• Design, build, and validate bespoke PCBs from schematic to bring-up (power, digital, mixed-signal) using Altium Designer or KiCad
• Define electrical architecture of UAV platforms with wiring diagrams, power distribution, and interface definitions
• Select and specify components across sensors, actuators, controllers, and power systems, balancing performance, cost, and integration effort
• Integrate communication interfaces (CAN Bus, Ethernet, RS422/485) and support RF/radio systems for robust data and power distribution
• Define and execute unit tests; contribute to reliability and safety analyses (FMEA); produce wiring diagrams, schematics, PCB layouts, and BOM

• Designed and integrated electrical/electronic systems in a professional setting (preferably aerospace or demanding domain)
• Proficient in PCB design and layout; hands-on with ECAD tools (Altium Designer, KiCad) and simulation tools (LTSpice)
• Able to interpret complex datasheets and translate constraints into sound design decisions
• Experience designing cable harnesses, defining communication interfaces, and working with RF/radio systems
• Collaborate across mechanical, software, and systems engineering; proficient written and spoken English
