Electrical Engineer (Cabling & Cable Routing)

Role Overview

As an Electrical Engineer – Cabling & Cable Routing , you will design and coordinate cabling systems for large‑scale industrial and energy projects, including hydrogen plants and power stations . You will ensure safe, compliant, and cost‑effective solutions while working closely with project teams, suppliers, and construction sites in an international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and design cable, cable tray, and conduit systems for complex industrial projects
• Develop and verify concepts for cable routing, grounding/earthing, lightning protection, and component layout
• Ensure compliance with IEC/DIN standards and internal engineering guidelines
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for cables and cable support systems
• Coordinate and manage cable data across engineering tools and project interfaces
• Support sales and proposal teams with technical solutions and cost optimization
• Perform technical evaluation and coordination of suppliers
• Provide engineering support to construction sites, including clarification of technical queries

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree, Technician qualification, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Several years of experience in cable routing planning and low‑/medium‑voltage cable systems
• Experience with industrial plants, power stations, or similar infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of IEC/DIN standards for cabling, grounding, and lightning protection
• Experience with 3D engineering tools (e.g., E3D, Revit); digitalization or AI‑based engineering is a plus
• Willingness to collaborate in international projects and travel occasionally
