The green transition requires integrated energy solutions and strong electrical infrastructure. To help deliver the electrical systems that power substations, grid connections, offshore wind projects, and industrial facilities, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer – Energy Systems & Infrastructure to join our Hamburg team.

You will work across multiple disciplines and project types, contributing to some of Germany's most significant energy transition projects while collaborating with experts from across COWI's international organization. Our broad project portfolio spans offshore wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, grid connections and electrical infrastructure, giving you the opportunity to work across multiple disciplines and project types while contributing to a more sustainable future.

Responsibilities

• Planung und Unterstützung von Projekten im Bereich Umspannwerke, Netzanschlüsse und elektrische Infrastruktur
• Integration elektrischer Systeme in komplexe Energie- und Industrieanlagen
• Durchführung elektrischer Berechnungen und Simulationen, einschließlich Kurzschlussberechnungen, Erdungsanalysen und Systemauslegung
• Erstellung technischer Spezifikationen, Einliniendiagramme und technischer Dokumentation
• Koordination technischer Schnittstellen sowie Zusammenarbeit mit internen und externen Stakeholdern in interdisziplinären Teams
• Unterstützung bei technischen Angeboten, Ausschreibungen, Projektklärungen und der Kundenkommunikation
• Mitarbeit an Offshore-Wind- und weiteren Energieinfrastrukturprojekten entsprechend Ihrer Erfahrung und Interessen

Qualifications

• Ein abgeschlossenes Studium der Elektrotechnik, Energietechnik oder einer vergleichbaren Fachrichtung
• Mindestens 5 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Planung und Umsetzung von Energiesystemen, Energieinfrastruktur oder elektrotechnischen Projekten
• Ausgeprägte Fähigkeiten in der technischen Dokumentation sowie eine strukturierte Arbeitsweise
• Erfahrung mit Umspannwerken, Netzanschlüssen, Offshore-Windprojekten oder vergleichbarer Energieinfrastruktur
• Kenntnisse in Schutztechnik, Erdung, Blitzschutz sowie in Engineering-Software wie AutoCAD, EPLAN, PowerFactory oder vergleichbaren Tools
• Sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse auf mindestens C1-Niveau (erforderlich)
• Gute Englischkenntnisse
