Electrical Harness Design

In this role you will lead the design and implementation of cross-brand wiring systems for a German OEM's automotive platform. You will develop electrical and electronic hardware solutions with scalable, modular architecture to support platform-wide integration across brands. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, reliable power distribution and signal routing for ECUs, sensors, actuators, and HMIs, focusing on quality and reliability at scale. This is a hands-on engineering role that shapes how vehicle electronics perform in advanced platforms and ADAS/HPC contexts.

• Design wiring systems: create schematics and 2D/3D layouts of wiring harnesses
• Define routing for electrical signals and power between components (ECUs, sensors, actuators, HMIs)
• Select wire types, sizes, shielding, and insulation to meet performance and safety requirements
• Ensure correct fusing and protection concepts are implemented
• Address vehicle communication networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and signal integrity considerations

• Understanding of voltage, current, and power distribution
• Knowledge of vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
