Electrical Operations Manager

Role: Electrical Operations Manager / Business Unit Lead – Mainland Europe

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced electrical delivery professional to take ownership of a growing business unit across mainland Europe.

The initial focus will be a major data centre project in Frankfurt, but the wider remit is much broader than one scheme. You’ll be responsible for leading electrical delivery across multiple live and upcoming projects, building the operational structure, managing senior teams and helping shape the company’s growth across Europe.

This role needs someone with a strong electrical delivery background who has managed concurrent projects, not just a single site. You’ll need to understand how to keep multiple programmes moving, how to support project teams, how to control risk commercially and operationally, and how to build a business unit that can scale.

What you’ll be doing

• Running the electrical business unit across mainland Europe, starting with major data centre delivery in Frankfurt
• Taking senior ownership of multiple concurrent projects across the region
• Leading and supporting Electrical Project Managers, Contracts Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors and wider delivery teams
• Overseeing electrical delivery performance across programme, commercial, quality, safety, commissioning readiness and client expectations
• Managing large-scale electrical packages across data centre and mission-critical projects
• Building structure, reporting lines, delivery standards and operational processes across the European function
• Working closely with commercial teams to manage cost, margin, change, variations, risk and subcontractor performance
• Acting as the senior operational interface with clients, main contractors, consultants and internal leadership
• Supporting project mobilisation, resource planning, labour strategy, procurement and subcontractor engagement
• Reviewing project performance across multiple sites and stepping in where support, escalation or corrective action is needed
• Supporting pre-construction and tender activity from an operational delivery perspective
• Helping grow the European business unit beyond the initial Frankfurt project

What you’ll need

• Strong electrical delivery background within data centres, mission-critical, industrial or large-scale MEP environments
• Experience running multiple concurrent projects, packages or sites across a region
• Background at Electrical Operations Manager, Electrical Contracts Manager, Project Director, Business Unit Lead, Regional Operations Manager or similar level
• Proven experience managing senior delivery teams, including Project Managers, Contracts Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors and subcontractors
• Strong understanding of electrical building services delivery, including LV/MV systems, containment, cabling, power distribution, UPS/generators and commissioning interfaces
• Commercial awareness, including cost control, margin protection, variations, progress reporting and contract risk
• Ability to operate above project level while still understanding the detail of delivery
• Strong client-facing capability, with the confidence to manage senior stakeholders and support account growth
• Comfortable building structure in a growing business rather than simply inheriting an established operation
• Data centre experience would be highly advantageous
• Willingness to operate across mainland Europe as the business unit grows
