Electronic Systems Engineer

To strengthen our aerospace engineering team, we are looking for an experienced:

Avionic Electronic Systems Engineer (m/f/d)

You will contribute to the development of complex electronic systems for next-generation civil aerospace applications, supporting the full engineering lifecycle—from requirements engineering and system definition to validation, testing and certification activities.

What You’ll Do

Depending on your project assignment, your responsibilities may include:

• Develop and support complex electronic and avionics systems for civil aerospace applications
• Perform requirements engineering, including requirements analysis, definition and validation according to aerospace development processes
• Translate customer and system requirements into technical concepts, system architectures and engineering specifications
• Define and coordinate technical requirements with internal engineering teams, suppliers and external stakeholders
• Evaluate technical concepts and support engineering decision-making throughout the development process
• Plan, execute and coordinate development activities within multidisciplinary project teams while meeting project timelines and quality objectives
• Prepare and review engineering documentation, technical reports and certification-related documentation
• Support system verification, validation, development testing and engineering analyses
• Collaborate closely with electronic hardware manufacturers and cross-functional engineering teams
• Contribute to the development of safety-critical aerospace systems following established aerospace standards and engineering processes

What You Bring

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
• Experience in the development of complex electronic or avionics systems, ideally within the aerospace industry
• Knowledge of Requirements Engineering and Systems Engineering methodologies
• Experience working with requirements management tools
• Hands‑on experience with engineering tools such as MATLAB, JIRA, or comparable development environments
• Experience in hardware and/or embedded software development is an advantage
• Familiarity with aerospace development processes, certification activities and safety‑critical system development is considered a strong plus
• Knowledge of aerospace standards and development methodologies is beneficial
• Strong analytical and structured problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities
• Ability to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary international teams
• Proactive and solution‑oriented mindset
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage technical tasks within cost and schedule constraints
• Very good German and English skills
