Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/d) BMC

In this Embedded Software Engineer role, you will develop software for embedded Linux-based systems used in HPC power solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement hardware-aware software, targeting ARM-based platforms and OpenBMC environments. You’ll help translate customer requirements into robust control and integration software, driving reliability and performance. • Develop software for embedded Linux-based systems in HPC power and battery shelf projects
• Collaborate with hardware, software, mechanical design, and testing teams across disciplines
• Program primarily in C, C++, and Python to implement features and integration
• Support integration of customer requirements into embedded software
• Contribute to OpenBMC/Yocto-based builds and related tooling
• Assist in implementing RESTful APIs and interfaces for system control
• Work on communication protocols (D-Bus, SMBus/PMBus, Modbus, CAN-Bus) as needed

• Completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering, communications engineering or similar
• Experience with modern ARM controllers
• Good knowledge in embedded Linux
• Knowledge of the Yocto build system, OpenBMC
• Good knowledge of RESTful APIs (Redfish, IPMI desirable)
• Knowledge of web interface/GUI development desirable
• Knowledge in communication protocols (D-Bus, SMBus/PMBus, Modbus, CAN-Bus) desirable
• Good written and spoken English skills
