Embedded Systems Software Engineer (OS and Bare-Metal)

Tasks

• We are looking for an Embedded Systems Software Engineer to join our team developing software for our RISC‑V SoC. You and your team will be responsible for the development of a bare‑metal Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) for our RISC‑V SoC. The HAL is used for testing and proof‑of‑concept applications. Porting and maintaining firmware (OpenSBI), (real‑time) operating systems (Linux, Zephyr), and the bootloader will also be a part of your responsibilities.
• The development of a BSP (OpenEmbedded/Yocto) and porting applications for testing and benchmarking (SPEC CPU) is expected as well.

Requirements

• Prospective team members require solid C skills and an interest in embedded / bare‑metal and (RT)OS development; an understanding of CPU and memory systems (RISC‑V a plus); exposure to bootloaders or RTOS (e.g. Zephyr, FreeRTOS) is welcome. Hardware debugging experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and first relevant experience (internships, projects) is desired.
• Relocation required. Currently 4 days on‑site, 1 day remote. Policy may change.
