EMC Engineer

Overview

We’re looking for a hands‑on Lead Compliance Engineer with a strong electrical or high‑voltage background to drive compliance strategy for complex, regulated products. This role sits deep in R&D and plays a critical part in shaping product design, testing, and certification from concept through delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

• 7+ years in compliance engineering for medical and/or imaging equipment.
• Strong background in electrical or high‑voltage systems.
• Hands‑on experience with electromechanical testing and test design.
• Testing for EMC/EMI and safety compliance (IEC 60601 is a plus).
• Experience contributing to CAPA, root cause investigations, and validation activities.
• Background in medical devices (preferred) or similar industries (capital equipment, imaging, automotive).
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence engineering decisions.
• Strong analytical mindset and problem‑solving skills.

What You’ll Do

• Lead end‑to‑end compliance strategy across the product lifecycle.
• Act as the technical SME for compliance in design reviews and engineering decisions.
• Drive and execute electromechanical, EMC/EMI, and safety testing (internal & external).
• Design and influence test methods and validation strategies.
• Identify risks early and guide teams through root cause analysis and corrective actions (CAPA).
• Partner closely with R&D, manufacturing, and regulatory teams.
• Support audits, certifications, and regulatory interactions.
• Mentor engineers and elevate compliance capabilities across the team.
